Money Master 2017 - An Introduction

Welcome to Money Master 2017.

I am Vipin Khandelwal, your facilitator for this course. Over the next few months, you will see a lot more of me around here. To tell you the least, I am super excited.

Let me take this opportunity to serve a few reminders about what this course entails and what is expected of you.

Why are you even at Money Master? How is it different? What’s new?

It’s a fact that there is no dearth of content around the internet. There is tons of content freely available that you can access any time.

Oh yes, you must have read several books, blogs and attended workshops, subscribed to magazines (online and offline). Not to mention there are several experts out there giving away their expertise for free or for a fee.

The best place to find it all is via Google. I mean, who needs anything apart from Google. I must say I am wrong!

Because if that was true, millions of individual investors would not have got themselves into the mess they are today in.

You tell me frankly, even with all of the above free resources and content, what has changed?

Very little.

A lot of the content that you read is about data and information about products. In some rare cases, you get highly motivated, inspired, but then what next?

As for motivation, someone said, “Getting motivation is like having a bath. You need it every day.”

Well, all the above sources are doing a great job, I am sure. However, it is all scattered. Sometimes the medium is the limitation. But what is absolutely missing is the ACTION. Without follow through action and deliberate practice, nothing is going to be of help.

Money Master takes all of this together and brings it at one place where you work alongside your guide, that is me here, to not just understand but also practise. This is designed to be life changing.

As I have mentioned to you earlier too, this is about the next 50 years plus. Not just today or tomorrow, this year or next year – the next 50 years.

It is a long journey and your actions have to be aligned to do this journey without losing peace of mind, enjoying yourself thoroughly and yet reaching your destination.

You and your mind have to be ready to absorb, evaluate and decide anything new that comes up. Ultimately, what you do with your money has to help you achieve your goals.

Money is a slave and you are it’s master.

So, that tells us on a broad level what to expect of this course. The defining word, to repeat myself, is action. That alone will set the path to change as to how you make investments and thus change your life.

Also, we are not here to talk about the “best” stocks, mutual funds, or anything for that matter. You are not going to get a readymade sheet of the “best”.

Instead, use Money Master to find the best for yourself. And this best can change over time. So, you should be prepared to identify and invest in what suits your money and you. That’s the winning strategy.

You don’t need just an advantage. You need a sustainable advantage.

You will get access to as well as learn to use several tools, which you can use to find your winning investments. This will build a more sustainable advantage for you.

The investment industry has turned really scary over the years. While 2008 seems a distant memory for now, there are ways and means the industry keeps using to part your money from you.

I know that’s not true for everyone. There are some good people out there. Thank God, there are.

But there is more of the wrong ones. And sometimes, it is just difficult to rely on what they say. They may sound smart and talk like an expert, but we don’t know what their motivation is.

So, who to rely on?

Your thinking and analytical skills, your questions or in one word – yourself.

That’s what Money Master aims to do for you. Get those traits burning inside you like fire. Then you can ask the smartest questions and beat your path to your wealth.

To revisit the format of the course, every week or so, there will be new content released and you will be notified about it. Post the release, you can choose when you engage with the content.

You can access it over the week or the weekend, as time permits. Read, understand, ask questions. Do the activities and practise, practise and practise.

In this first week, we will warm up to each other as well as the content, taking a sneak peek at all that is going to come to you over the next few weeks and months.
