Vandhi
Its very useful guide for all the investors to build MF portfolio for their goals. Most of the investors go by Past performance and Brand name for the fund selection. Thanks for educating us .
What is the need for an mid/small cap fund ?
because when you choose multi-cap/flexicap funds , its almost investing in mid-caps too,
So do you still require mid-cap fund to be included along with multi-cap /flexi cap fund.
Reason for the query is, i have taken same example of Large cap fund which was mentioned in the guidelines as below
” No pure large cap funds, since most flexicap / multicap
funds already have a significant portion in large cap stocks “
Vipin Khandelwal
Hi Vandhi, good observation…do take a look at the asset allocation of some of the flexicap and multicap funds.
Thank you
Vijay
So the funds shown as example are simar to the funds in the DIY package. So is this the same approach taken to select your 13 portfolios?
Vipin Khandelwal
The approach – yes.
The funds – may be!
