It is highly likely that you are an investor with mutual funds. Big or small, doesn’t matter. What matters is you have entrusted your money to the funds, the fund managers to help you meet your goals.
Now, fortunately or unfortunately, there are 100s of funds, categories, strategies, styles, options. All wanting your money and every one of them adding to your dilemma – which ones to invest in?
I mean, how do we select the right one for us? The usual star ratings / rankings or friends/family tell us?
Or, do we rely on online platform driven advice – robots, algorithms, etc.? You know the buzzwords.
If I may get a little esoteric – do we really understand these funds we are investing in?
Are we able to align our expectations with the objectives of these funds?
No? Yes?
Isn’t that a gap? Can we do this better?
Let me ask you further. What can help you understand your mutual fund investments more? Individually and at a portfolio level?
What data, information or insight can help you select the appropriate fund(s) for your needs?
What bothers you about your or other mutual funds? What are the things that you don’t understand and would like to know more about?
Do you think you can share this with me? Please.
I want to work on this with you, for you and myself. Your questions and comments will be of immense help.
You and I have entrusted our money to one or many fund schemes hoping that they will work to help us meet our financial goals, grow our wealth and fulfil our dreams.
Knowing them better won’t hurt, in fact, it is the right thing to do.
To better investing!
Looking forward.
