What’s the link between Diogenes, Bengaluru and Hyderabad? Quite subtle as well as pronounced!
Diogenes was a Greek philosopher and quite a controversial figure of that time. He used his simple life-style and behaviour to criticise the social values and institutions of what he saw as a corrupt or at least confused society.
In a highly nontraditional fashion, he had a reputation of sleeping and eating wherever he chose and took to toughening himself against nature. (Source)
And then I came across this.
Diogenes was eating lentils when a courtier saw him and said, “If only you would learn to flatter the prince, you wouldn’t have to eat lentils.” Diogenes looked at him and said, “If only you would learn to eat lentils, you wouldn’t have to flatter the prince.”

In my view, the above tweet contains the single best lesson to achieve your financial freedom and control of your time.
This is what I try to do with my work – help individuals to get them on this path towards financial freedom, to get more time for what they want to do.
One of the activities to this purpose is the investing workshop – Money and You. Details here.
This previous Saturday, I did my first investing workshop of this year 2017 at Bengaluru.
Here is what the participants said.
An excellent space to restructure my financial investment framework. – Rakesh Ganatra, Liquid Curiosity
Myth Buster. Has been completely worth the time. – Senthil Koman, Infosys
The very time I heard about the workshop, it got my interest. After the workshop, I have good idea about what can I do with my money and aware about my investment options. – Deepa Shree, NTT Data Services
Highly recommend for a person who does not have any knowledge of financial planning. – Varun D, ANZ
An excellent supplement to the blog articles. – Praveen Kumar Yellapu, IBM
So, if you are looking to make a difference to the way you look at your personal finance and structure your investment portfolio for the better, here is a chance to attend my next workshop at Hyderabad on Dec 23, 2017.
It’s the first ever in the city and I would like to have you as a participant.
If you are willing to commit early, there is an early bird offer too. Register before Dec 3 and pay 20% less.
Seats are limited. So, act now.
