If you have applied for e-CAN lately, you might be facing problems. The confirmation and activation of your eCAN is pending for weeks sometimes.
You are not sure why is this happening. From your side, you have submitted all the information and the required documents. You have also received the provisional CAN. But you cannot transact with a provisional CAN.
For a fact you cannot transact till your provisional eCAN is confirmed and activated.
There are a couple of reasons for the delay.
- You may not have furnished the necessary documents such as bank proof, self-attested PAN card copies, etc. for all the applicants
- Your documents may be faulty.
- Your KYC information may not have been collected from the respective KRA. This has to be done electronically and can take a lot of time.
Please remember that e-KYC, that is, the OTP based Aadhar KYC is not acceptable as KYC. You need to complete your KYC with In Person verification.
Unless the above information is available to MFU, your eCAN cannot be confirmed and hence you cannot transact.
It’s been too long a wait
If the wait has been too long, you can choose to opt for a Partially Electronic CAN.
You can write to MFU (email as provided in the provisional CAN email) for converting the Fully Electronic CAN to partially electronic CAN and then you can print your application as provided by MFU, print it, sign it and submit it at a nearest point of service along with the necessary documents.
This can get you your CAN confirmed within a day.
Note: Remember to upload the self attested PAN card copy as a part of your eCAN application.
